Age 58 of Diamond and formerly of Wilmington and Braidwood, passed away Monday, April 25, 2016 at her home.

Born October 27, 1957 in Joliet, Marilynn Joyce was a daughter of the late Elaine R. (nee Adams) and Harold L. Luce. She was raised and educated in Wilmington and graduated from Wilmington High School. She was employed at Brownies in Gardner until it closed and also worked as a crossing guard. Marilynn was a member of Lake Will Recreation Club in Wilmington and enjoyed camping and the outdoors. She took pleasure in listening to Patsy Cline; loved her dogs Charm, Demon and Autumn, and will be remembered for her love of her grandchildren and family.

Survivors include three children: Angela (Dan) Bailey of Braidwood, Tammy (John) Fiedler of Coal City and Janet (James) Anderson of Joliet; seven grandchildren: Tyler, Bryann, Salena, Joseph, Austin, Leanna and Brenden; four sisters: Suzon Pulaski, Myrna Luce, Cindy (Mike) Higginbotham and Dawn Rodgers; one brother Jimmy (Dawn) Rodgers; her mother-in-law Dorothy (the late John, Sr.) Lerfald; sisters and brothers-in-law: Janet (Denson) Jones and Jack (Laura) Lerfald and several nieces, nephews and cousins, as well as her dear friend Cathy Zeiger.

Marilynn was preceded by her mother and stepfather: Elaine and Gene Rodgers; father Harold Luce; husband John Lerfald, Jr. and daughter Melissa Ann Lerfald.

Cremation rites have been accorded, and no services will be held.

Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Marilynn's memory to her family for their distribution.
