Marilyn J. Escalante (nee Denning)

Age 69 of Coal City, passed away Tuesday July 17, 2012 at Morris Hospital.

Born March 22, 1943 in Mount Vernon, Illinois, Marilyn is a daughter of the late Leonard and Mary Phelps-Denning. She worked as a caregiver with Trinity Services in Wilmington and also tended bar at various local establishments throughout the years. Marilyn loved playing bingo, swimming and boating, as well as all outdoor activities. She will be remembered for the cherished time spent with her family.

Survivors include her three children: Debbie Boyd and Robin Carver, both of Coal City and Jody (Andrew) Farar of Channahon; six grandchildren: Melissa Kutemeier, Stephanie Carver, Heather Boyd, T.J. Boyd and Kimberly Carver, all of Coal City and Payton Farar of Channahon; five great grandchildren: Lane, Todd, Allie, Brody and Elizabeth and three brothers: Sam (Patti) Rash of Glendale, Arizona, Gary Rash of Godley and Lonnie Denning of Mt. Vernon, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents: Leonard Denning and Mary and Sam Rash.

Cremation rites are being accorded and a memorial visitation will be held on Sunday July 22, 2012 between the hours of 2:00PM and 5:00PM at Reeves Funeral Home, 75 North Broadway in Coal City.
