Marilyn Hutchings Erickson

Marilyn Hutchings Erickson, 92, of Morris, passed away Monday morning, April 25, 2022 at Pointe of Morris Senior Living.
Born August 8, 1929 in Morris, she was the daughter of Jonas and Mary Mickelson. She married Roy Hutchings Jr. on September 21, 1951 in Lisbon. Roy preceded her in death on December 24, 2001. She then married Robert Erickson on January 10, 2007 in Colorado Springs, CO. they spent their married life in Colorado and in Morris. Robert preceded her in death on February 24, 2016.
Marilyn is survived by her children, Michael (Carol) Hutchings of Morris, Pamela (Tom) Martz of Fredericksburg, VA. Gregory (Susan) Hutchings of St. Augustine, FL and Steven Hutchings of Elk Grove Village, Il.; her grandchildren, Kevin (Kristal) Hutchings, Christen (Kurt) Pfeifer and Matthew (Whitney) Martz; great grandchildren, Lillian, Margaret, Wyatt Pfeifer and Veronica Martz; nieces and nephews; several step grandchildren and step great grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husbands; sister, Dorothy Lund and brother, Orville Mickelson.
Marilyn enjoyed doing crochet, needlework, reading, traveling and also spending time with her family, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Morris and worked as a bookkeeper and secretary in Morris.
Memorials may be given to Bethlehem Lutheran church or the American Cancer Society.
Funeral services will be held Friday, April 29, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Morris with Pastor Patrick Lohse officiating. Interment will follow in Saratoga Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until time of service at the church.
The family requests that masks be worn for the funeral services.
