Marie C. Stulsas

Age 91 of Morris and formerly Dolton, Illinois, passed away Wednesday February 22, 2012 at Walnut Grove Village in Morris.

Born October 31, 1920 in Chicago, Marie was a daughter of the late Fred and Catherine Kevlin-Wenzel. She was raised and educated in Chicago and worked for Illinois Bell Telephone Company prior to her marriage. On May 4, 1946, Marie married Casimir Stulsas in Saint Basil Catholic Church in Chicago and he preceded her in June of 2003. Marie's most recent employment was with Rush Presbyterian Saint Luke's Medical Center in Chicago. It was there that she worked in Medical Records for more than 25 years until her retirement. Marie was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Morris and former member of Saint Mary's Parish in Dolton.

Survivors include her two children: Jim (Anna) Stulsas of Texas and Judy (Dale) Max of Morris; five grandchildren: James (Stacey) Stulsas, Joseph Stulsas and John (Ashley) Stulsas, all of Texas and Rebecca Max and Rachel Max, both of Morris; five great grandchildren and one sister-in-law Anne Egan of Chicago, as well a special niece Marie Therese "Sis" Wenzel.

Marie was preceded in death by her parents; husband Casimir and four brothers: Walter (Therese) Wenzel, Charlie (Wanda) Wenzel, Ray (Rita) Wenzel and Art Wenzel.

Visitation will be held on Saturday February 25, 2012 from 8:30AM until 9:15AM at Reeves Funeral Home, 408 East Washington Street (one block East of Illinois Route 47) in Morris. Funeral services will follow at 9:30AM in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 516 East Jackson Street in Morris. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated with Reverend Ed Howe, CR officiating, and burial will be in Saint Mary's Cemetery in Evergreen Park.

Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Marie's memory to the Immaculate Conception Building Fund, 516 East Jackson Street, Morris, Illinois 60450.
