Age 82 of Braidwood, passed away October 22, 2009 at Morris Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.

Born August 17, 1927 in Coal City, Marguerite was a daughter of the Late John and Anna-Sedneska-Jisa. She was raised and educated in Coal City, and graduated from Coal City High School with the class of 1945. On June 11, 1949 Marguerite married Joseph P. Motta in Coal City and together they lived their entire married life in the Coal City and Braidwood area. Marguerite was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Braidwood where she was a member of the Council of Catholic Women and taught CCD. Marguerite worked at the Morris Paper Mill, Joliet Arsenal, and the Reed-Custer School District, from where she retired as a secretary after 22 years. She especially loved baking cookies for all of her friends in the Reed-Custer School District. Marguerite was avid at cooking, knitting, and sewing for others and she loved the Christmas season most of all.

Survivors include her four children: John Motta of Wisconsin and Tom Motta, Mike Motta and Susan Cobb all of Braidwood; seven grandchildren: including special grandsons Joey and Mikey and granddaughters Krystal and Tiffany Cobb and brother-in-law:Frankie (Diane) Jirousek, a well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Marguerite was preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband Joseph on January 2, 1999; son: Joseph Jr. in 1981; one brother: George Jisa and three sisters: Lilian, Mildred and Elsie.

Visitation will be held on October 27, 2009 from 1:00PM until time of Funeral Service 2:00PM at Reeves Funeral Home, 75 North Broadway (one block North of Illinois Route 113) in Coal City. Reverend Steve Bondi will officiate and burial will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery in Braidwood.

Preferred memorials in lieu of flowers may be made as gifts in Marguerite's memory to her family.
