Margaret Louise Perucca
Age 93 of Morris and formerly Waukegan, passed away Monday morning September 24, 2012 at Morris Hospital.
Born April 15, 1919 in Grundy County, Margaret was a daughter of the late John J. and Josephine Bruno-Perucca. She was educated in Morris; graduated from Morris Community High School and continued her education at Illinois State University and University of Illinois, earning a Master's Degree in Educational Administration. Margaret taught Business Class at Waukegan High School; later became Dean of Women Students, and retired as Assistant Principal. She was an active member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Morris, where she served as a Eucharistic Minister and called on the homebound. Margaret was a member of the Morris Country Club, Morris Women's Club, The Business Women's Club and Illinois Retired Teachers Association. She was a volunteer at Morris Hospital and in past years enjoyed golfing.
Survivors include her sister-in-law Norma Perucca of Morris; two nephews: Frank, Jr. (Maureen) Perucca of Braidwood and David (Caryn) Perucca of Naperville; five great nieces: Vanessa (Mark) Prinz, Sara (Tony) Heiserman, Dr. Amanda Marma, Megan Perucca and Emily Perucca; two great-great nephews: Vander Prinz and Grayson Heiserman and one great-great niece Calista Prinz, as well as numerous cousins.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers: John Perucca and Frank Perucca, Sr. and one niece Peggy Perucca.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday September 25, 2012 between the hours of 4:00PM and 7:00PM at Reeves Funeral Home, 408 East Washington Street (one block East of Illinois Route 47) in Morris. Margaret will then lie in state Wednesday September 26th from 9:00AM until time of funeral services 10:00AM at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 600 East Jackson Street in Morris. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated with Reverend Ed Howe, CR officiating and burial will follow in Mount Carmel Cemetery, Morris.
Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Margaret's memory to the American Cancer Society or Immaculate Conception Catholic Church Building Fund.
