Age 80 of Wilmington, passed away Monday February 20, 2012 at Silver Cross Medical Center in Joliet.

Born on November 08, 1931, Peggy is a daughter of Geraldine Woolwine (nee Schutten) of Wilmington and the late Ernest L. Woolwine. She worked for the Joliet Army Ammunition Plant as a secretary, was a manager and carriage driver for ten years with Coach Horse Livery, Ltd. in Chicago and most recently held employment with Doc's Drugs in Wilmington for more than 20 years. Peggy was a member of Saint Rose Catholic Church in Wilmington, 50+ year member of Illinois Valley Horse Association and former member of the Illinois Appaloosa and Paint Horse Association. She was a past 4-H Leader and served as a driver for Easter Seals. Peggy had a passion for horses and cattle and greatly enjoyed attended cattle shows. She cherished the time spent with her grandchildren and will be remembered for always trying to attend the grandkids functions.

Survivors include her mother Geraldine Woolwine of Wilmington; four children: William L. (JoEllen) Chapman of Seneca, Mike Chapman of Wilmington, LuAnn (Dennis) Love of Bonfield and John Chapman of Blair, Nebraska; fifteen grandchildren: Jacob (Brittany) Chapman, Ashley (Pat) Pfeifley, Courtney Chapman, Katy Chapman, Teresa (Dave) Farrero, Graham (Nichole) Chapman, Nathan Love, Josh Love, Dustin Love, Chase Chapman, Max Chapman, Dane Chapman, Meghan (Juan) Ortiz, Erin (Chris) Lutz and Gareth (Becky) Beeson; twelve great grandchildren; one sister Connie (the late Richard) Houdlette of Kankakee; five brothers: Gary Woolwine of Naperville, Jim (Sue) Woolwine of California, Dave (Tim McFarland) Woolwine of Kansas, Mark (Joan) Woolwine of Plainfield and Tom (Hedy) Woolwine of Iowa, and numerous nieces and nephews, as well as her friend and companion Ervin "Slim" Carmichael.

Peggy was preceded in death by her father Ernest L. Woolwine; son Donald Woolwine; great granddaughter Dylan and her niece and goddaughter Susan Watrus-Houdlette.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Saint Rose Catholic Church, 624 South Kankakee Street in Wilmington on Saturday February 25, 2012 at 12:00 Noon. Reverend Steve Bondi and Deacon Don Dyer will officiate. The family will then receive friends for a memorial luncheon immediately following the services in Saint Rose School Hall.
