Lydia Jeanette (Jolly) Shelton

Age 76, a resident of Mazon, passed away Monday morning, October 3, 2016 at Morris Hospital.

Born April 29, 1940 in Okolona, MS was a daughter of J.D. and Birdie (Ward) Jolly.  She was raised and educated in Okolona.  Lydia worked at Krogers in Morris, Uniroyal in Joliet and at several nuclear plants in Illinois.

Lydia was married to Bobby R. Jones (deceased) of Okolona, MS from 1956 until 1969 and Robert A. Shelton (deceased) from 1970 until 1983.

Survivors include her children Tammie Jones, Robert (Jason) Shelton and Amelia Shelton; two grandchildren Miranda Shelton and Justin Kolesar; two great grandchildren Autumn Shelton and Luca Kolesar; one sister Birdie Eugenia (Jolly) Pope, two brothers Jerry C. Jolly and William P. Jolly.

Lydia was preceded in death by her parents and a brother J.D. Jolly, Jr.

Cremation rites are being accorded and a graveside service will be held Monday, October 24, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in Chickasaw Memorial Gardens, located in Chickasaw County, Mississippi.
