Lydia Mueller

Age 94 of Morris and formerly of Chicago and Vero Beach, Florida, passed away Tuesday morning, September 6, 2016 at Park Pointe Rehabilitation Center in Morris.

Born March 6, 1922 in Nebraska, Lydia was raised in Chicago, and on April 4, 1943, married Joseph M. Mueller in Providence, Rhode Island. She took pleasure in reading and playing bingo, and will be remembered for her enjoyment of spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law: Joseph A. and Donna Mueller of Morris; four grandchildren: Sarah (Adam) Pyzyna of Cortland Manor, New York, Matthew (Katie) Mueller and Stephanie (Andrew) Gallagher, both of Morris and Dustin (Brittney) Mueller of Des Moines, Iowa; (11) great grandchildren: Lux, Collette, Roscoe and Conrad Pyzyna, Lily, Juliet, Josie, Max and Brynn Mueller and Gunner and Griffin Gallagher; two brothers: Richard Krause of Marengo, Illinois and Robert Krause of Mountain Home, Arkansas, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Lydia was preceded in death by her parents; husband Joseph M. Mueller on July 1, 2012; one brother Ed Krause and one sister Barbara Krause.

Private visitation and services were held at Reeves Funeral Home in Morris with Pastor Kevin Yandell officiating. Burial was in Mount Carmel Cemetery in Morris, where Lydia was laid to rest with her late husband Joseph.
