Lucille H. Hale

Age 86 of Morris, passed away Friday morning, February 13, 2015 at her home.

Born July 25, 1928 in Marinette, Wisconsin, Lucille was a daughter of the late Frank Peter and Mary Susan (Roskos) Hass. She earned her Bachelors of Science degree at the University of Saint Francis in Joliet, and worked as a surgical RN. Lucille retired from Saint Margaret's Hospital in Hammond, where she was proud to have been on the first angioplasty team. Lucille was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Morris and cherished spending time with her family, grandchildren and great grandchildren. A true nurse at heart, Lucille will be remembered for always caring for others who were in need.

Survivors include her husband Jerry whom she married May 22, 1955; two daughters: Cathy (Roger) Haefner of Morris and Susan (Lee) Avren of Naples, Florida; three granddaughters: Shannon Haefner of Michigan, Delaney Haefner of Minooka and Nina Avren of Florida; two great granddaughters: Dakota and Hayley; one sister Margaret (George) Burby of Wisconsin; three brothers: Donald (Jane) Hass of Michigan, Richard (Joan) Hass of Wisconsin and Francis Hass of Florida, and one brother-in-law Phillip (Marlene) Hale of Indiana, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Lucille was preceded in death by her parents; brother James Hass and sister Mary (Ben) Konyn.

Green cremation rites are being accorded.

The family will receive friends on Friday February 20, 2015, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 600 East Jackson Street in Morris from 9:00 a.m. until time of funeral services 10:00 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated with Reverend Ed Howe, CR officiating. Inurnment will be in Mount Carmel Cemetery, Morris.

Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Lucille's memory to the Alzheimer's Association or to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Morris.
