Lucille M. Carver
(nee Brown)
Age 83 9f Elwood and formerly Wilmington, passed away peacefully at her home after a lengthy illness on Monday February 11, 2008.
Born September 20, 1924 in Joliet, Lucille was a daughter of the late John and Marie Quinn-Brown. She was a 1942 graduate of Wilmington High School and a member of St. Rose Catholic Church in Wilmington. Lucille was formerly employed by the Joliet Arsenal, Ft. Bliss of El Paso, TX, Blarkson Chemical Plant, Hermes Dry Goods of Wilmington and Wieboldts Department Store. She greatly loved her family and animals of all kinds, as well as painting and drawing.
Survivors include her loving husband George and son Mark, both of Elwood; two daughters: Karolyn Carver of Chicago and Kathleen (Milan) Mermall of Scotsdale, AZ; two granddaughters: Stephanie and Kimberly Carver and several nieces and nephews. Lucille was also the dear sister-in-law of Bill and Marion Pollack of Wilmington and Doris J. (the late James) Stallard of Pittsfield, IL;.
Lucille was preceded in death by her parents and one brother in infancy
A private family service was held at Reeves Funeral Home in Wilmington.
Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.
