Lorraine Warriner

Age 86 of Wilmington, passed away Saturday morning, November 21, 2015 at The Parc of Joliet.

Born December 13, 1928 in Chicago, Lorraine Catherine was a daughter of the late Clifton and Rose Smith. On May 4, 1946, Lorraine married Melvin Warriner in the Ritchie United Methodist Church and he preceded her on October 26, 2015. She was member of the American Legion Auxiliary, and will be remembered for her love to socialize, play cards and enjoy music.

Survivors include her two children: Edward Warriner and Carol Thomason; fourteen grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents; husband Melvin; two sisters; one great grandson and one great-great grandson.

Visitation will be held at St. Rose Catholic Church on Friday, November 27, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. until time of funeral service 11:00 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated with Reverend Richard L. Smith and cremation rites will be accorded following the service.

Inurnment will be in Wesley Cemetery on Saturday, November 28th at 1:00 p.m. when Lorraine and Melvin will be laid to rest.

Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Lorraine’s memory to Kuzma Care Cottage, 635 South Main Street, Wilmington, Illinois 60481.
