Lori Ann Grosvenor (nee Manietta)
Age 51 of Coal City, passed away unexpectedly May 3, 2013 at her home.
Born May 25, 1961 in Joliet, Lori is the daughter of John and Mary Phillips-Manietta of Coal City. She was raised in Coal City and was a graduate of Coal City High School with the Class of 1979. On May 9, 1987 Lori married Dennis Grosvenor in Assumption Catholic Church and together they made their home Coal City. Lori held employment with the First National Bank of Coal City, where she worked for 20 years. She will be remembered for her love of the color red, collecting antiques and crafts and for her cross stitching and hand work. Lori was a devoted wife to Dennis and always remained very sentimental of family things.
Survivors include her husband of 25 years Dennis and parents John and Mary Manietta of Coal City; father and mother-in-law: Les and Sarah Grosvenor of Ava, Illinois; five brothers: John Manietta of Plainfield, Ronnie (Debi) Manietta of Mazon, Joe Manietta of Chicago, Jason Manietta of Louisville, Kentucky and Matt (Stefanie) Manietta of Channahon; one brother-in-law Rick Grosvenor of Ottawa; nieces and nephews: Stephanie (Brandon) Bailey of Coal City, Tyler Mattila of Michigan, Jennie Rose Manietta and Dusty Manietta of Mazon and Sienna Manietta of Channahon; two great nephews: Colton and Grayson Bailey; two uncles: Raymond (Betty) Manietta and A.J. (the late Sue) Manietta, and three aunts: Rosann Manietta, Carol Onsen-Morin and Anne Manietta, all of Coal City.
Lori was preceded in death by grandparents: Ervin and Jennie Phillips, Anton and Rose Manietta, Lester and Anna Grosvenor and Emory and Rose Talbott; her sister-in-law Bev Manietta and aunts and uncles: Lawrence Manietta, Joseph Manietta, Carl (Lois) Manietta, Joann (Richard) Klover, Leonard "Swede" Onsen, Ron Morin, Marilyn (Gerald) Krell, Joan Schumacher, Geraldine Davis, and Melba Hamilton, and her cousin Gerald "Tiger" Krell.
Visitation and video tribute will be held on Tuesday May 7, 2013 between the hours of 4:00PM and 8:00PM at Reeves Funeral Home, 75 North Broadway (one block north of Illinois Route 113) in Coal City. Funeral services will follow Wednesday May 8th at 10:00AM in Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church, 245 South Kankakee Street in Coal City. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated with Reverend Robert Noesen officiating. Burial will be in Braceville-Gardner Cemetery.
Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Lori's memory to a charity of the donor's choice.
