Loretta A. Bever

Age 94 of Elwood, passed away Monday January 29, 2018 at Sunny Hill Nursing Home in Joliet.

Born June 19, 1923 in Streator, Loretta was the daughter of Andrew and Anna (nee Elias) Gall. She was raised and educated in Streator, and graduated from Streator High School. On February 16, 1948, Loretta married Alvin J. Bever in Palmyra, Missouri. She was a devoted homemaker and loving mother, who enjoyed spending her time in the garden and canning.

Survivors include her three children: Mary Ann (William) Ludtke of New Mexico, William (Alicia) Bever of Channahon, and Beverly K. Wiles of Shorewood; five grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Loretta was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and her son-in-law: Richard Wiles.

Visitation will be Wednesday, February 7, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Baskerville Funeral Home, 700 East Kahler Road, in Wilmington. Committal services will immediately follow the visitation at Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery in Wilmington, where Loretta will be laid to rest with her husband.

Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Loretta's memory to: Sunny Hill Nursing Home of Will County, 421 Doris Avenue, Joliet, IL 60433 or Joliet Area Community Hospice, 250 Waterstone Circle, Joliet, IL 60431.
