Lonnie Ray Austin

Age 69 of Wilmington, formerly of St. Anne and Bradley, passed away Monday November 9, 2015 at his home in Wilmington.

Born July 19, 1946, Lonnie was a son of the late George and Charlotte “Lotte” (Wiley) Austin.  He grew up in Morocco, Indiana.

Survivors include his children: Brian (Chandra) Austin of Manteno and Karen (Robert) Romero of Monee; six grandchildren: Amanda, Amber, Alex, Marissa, Jared, and Maya, as well as the mother of his children, Jeanne Austin, whom he was married to for 38 years.

Lonnie was preceded in death by his parents.

Cremation rites have been accorded, and a memorial visitation will be held Friday November 13, 2015, between the hours of 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. at Baskerville Funeral Home, 700 East Kahler Road in Wilmington.

Preferred memorials may be made gifts in Lonnie’s memory to his family for their distribution.
