Lois M. Baker (nee Hinthorn)

Age 78 of Gardner, passed away Tuesday July 3, 2007 at Heritage Manor in Dwight. Born January 06, 1929 in Lexington, Illinois, Lois was a daughter of the late Merle and Lera (Payne) Hinthorn.

On February 09, 1950, Lois married Charles C. Baker in Normal, Illinois. They lived in Odell until moving to Coal City in the mid 1950's. It was in the mid 1960's that Charlie and Lois relocated to Gardner with their family, where they lived for the remainder of their married life. In 1970 Lois went to work at Jemco and later Wescom until her retirement. She enjoyed cooking and baking.

Survivors include her children: Dennis (Vicki) Baker and Terry (Barb) Baker, both of Gardner, Brenda (Mike) Foster of Tennessee, Richard (Pam) Baker of Gardner, Tricia (Keith) Hockings of Coal City and Steve (Joanne) Baker of Gardner. Nine grandchildren: Aaron Baker of Gardner, Stacy (Tony) Churchwell of Carmi, Illinois, Heather Miner of Gardner, Natasha West of Godley, Mike (Kathy) Foster of Tennessee, Shilynn (Ray) DelAngel of Wilmington, Troy Hockings and Lance Hockings, both of Coal City and Ty Baker of Wilmington. Two great grandsons: Mason DelAngel of Wilmington and Parker Miner of Gardner and two great granddaughters: Raena DelAngel and Allie DelAngel, both of Wilmington. Two brothers: Dale (Mary) Hinthorn of Gibson City, Illinois and Ed (Sheila) Hinthorn of Melvin, Illinois; three sisters: Beryl (Kenneth) Risen of Towanda, Illinois, Shirley (the late Wally) Schletter of Lexington, Illinois and JoAnn (Bob) Rafferty of Bloomington. One sister-in-law Shirley Hinthorn of Bloomington, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents, husband Charles (2005); daughter Pamela Lynn (1959) and two brothers: Lloyd in infancy and Holly Hinthorn (2006).

Visitation and Video Tribute will be held on Friday July 06, 2007 from 9:00AM until time of funeral services 11:00AM at Reeves Funeral Home, 75 North Broadway (one block North of Illinois Route 113) in Coal City. Pastor Avery Wilson from the First Baptist Church of Coal City will officiate and a private family interment will be in Hinthorn Cemetery in Lake Bloomington, Illinois.

Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Lois' memory to her family for distribution to local charities of their choice.
