Linda Flinchum

Linda Ann Flinchum

Age 74 of Mokena and formerly Oak Forest, passed away Monday morning November 28, 2011 at Silver Cross Medical Center in Joliet.

Born July 23, 1937 in Chicago, Linda was a daughter of the late William and Kathleen Metzger-Wenk. She was an avid reader and greatly enjoyed going to garage sales. Linda will be remembered as a dedicated mother and grandmother, who cherished her family and animals.

Survivors include her loving companion Ken Kazmierczak of Oak Forest; four children: James (Louise) Vainowski of Mokena, William P. (Beth) Vainowski of Villa Park, Gerald (Julie) Vainowski of Bradford and Linda (Ray) Marquardt of Mokena; ten grandchildren: Anna, Amanda, Brandon, Cory, Elijah, Dustin, Michelle and Kaitlin Vainowski and Jason and Will Marquardt, and three sisters: Bea Sacks of Hickory Hills, Kitty (Al) Wanek of Naperville and Judy (Phil) Gieras of Oak Lawn, as well as many loving nieces and nephews.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents.

The family will receive friends on Friday December 2, 2011 from 10:00AM until time of Memorial Service 11:00AM at Christ Lutheran Church, 14700 South 94th Avenue in Orland Park. Pastor Raymond Rohlfs will officiate.
