Lester M. Butler, Jr.

Age 56 and formerly of Zion and Wilmington, passed away Wednesday June 10, 2015 at the home of his son Robert in Marion, Illinois.

Born October 2, 1958 in Joliet, Lester was a son of the late Lester M. Sr., and Elsa F. (Warriner) Butler. He was a 1976 graduate of Wilmington High School and served in the US Navy for 11 years as a diesel mechanic.

Survivors include two sons: Robert E. (Janet) Butler of Marion and Sam Butler of Zion; one brother David P. (Penny) Butler of McLean; three grandchildren: Ralph, Elsa and William Butler, all of Marion; four sisters: Patricia Heitman of Manhattan, Grayce (Raymond) English of Clifton, Ruth Harris of Hudsonville, MI and Donna (Kurt) Wagner of Columbia, MO; his first wife Sharon Brown of Buckner; third wife Cynthia Butler of Zion and a special friend Patricia Casey of Zion.

Lester was preceded in death by his parents; son Joseph Butler; three brothers: Charles, Harold and Leo Butler and his second wife Jill Butler.

Cremation rites have been accorded, and the family will receive friends on Saturday June 27, 2015 at the Ritchey United Methodist Church from 12:00 noon until time of memorial service 1:00 p.m. Beverly Dehler will officiate and inurnment will follow in Wesley Cemetery.
