Leslie Lohse, Jr.

Age 35 of Chicago and formerly South Chicago Heights and Steger, Illinois, passed away Saturday August 3, 2013 in Chicago.

Born August 19, 1977 in Harvey, Illinois, Leslie is a son of Elaine Kovar of Wilmington and the late Leslie Lohse, Sr. He was educated at Bloom Trail High School in Chicago Heights. Leslie devoted much of his youth as an avid skateboarder. He worked as a journeyman roofer in Steger, Illinois. It was during that time period in his life he was blessed with a son, Brandon Lohse of Park Forest. In 2010, he moved to Chicago, Illinois but made frequent visits back to where he was raised to visit with the ones he loved so much. Leslie's favorite place on God's earth was at Kuhn Lake Indiana with his beloved grandparents, Larry and Lorraine Kovar of Leesburg, Indiana.

Survivors include his son: Brandon Lohse of Park Forest; Mother Elaine Kovar of Wilmington, Stepfather Tony Bruno of Wilmington; Brothers: Matt Lohse of Middleburg, Florida and Chad Lohse of Dyer, Indiana; Sisters: Bridget Bruno of Dekalb, Illinois and Brenna Bruno of Wilmington; Nieces and Nephews: Isaiah, Jacob, Olivia, Anastasia, and Kira; Aunts and Uncles: Ken, Linda, Matt, Larry, Bernice, Maryanne, and Laurie; Cousins: Starla, Taysha, Nick, Rachel, Brittney, Cheryl, Kristin, Kyle, and Kristina.

Leslie Lohse was preceded in death by his father Les Lohse Sr.

Visitation and video tribute will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2013 between the hours of 3:00PM and 6:00PM at Freitag-Reeves & Baskerville Funeral Home, 700 East Kahler Road in Wilmington.

The family invites you to celebrate his life with them at Wilmington South Island Park Pavilion, S. Park St, Wilmington, Ill on Saturday, August 17, 2013 following the visitation.

A private family burial will be held in Warsaw, Indiana.

Preferred memorials and contributions may be made as gifts in Leslie's memory to his family for their distribution.
