Leonard L. Harrison, Jr.

Age 51 of Godley and formerly Joliet, passed away Wednesday November 7, 2012 at Presence Saint Joseph Medical Center in Joliet.

Born January 25, 1961 in Joliet, Leonard is a son of Leonard, Sr. and Blanche Kinkin-Harrison of Wilmington. Leonard was a graduate of Joliet Township High School with the Class of 1979 and was previously employed by the City of Joliet with the Parking Enforcement Department. He was a member of Abundant Life Fellowship Church and belonged to Golds Gym. Leonard enjoyed the "oldies" and could often be found watching old T.V. shows and movies, listening to his HAM radio or going for walks.

Survivors include his parents; wife Joyce (nee Dillinger); two children: Maria Harrison and Adam Harrison, both of Godley and two grandchildren: Maya Renee and Breanna Moreen; two aunts and one uncle: Helen King, Glenn Harrison and Norberta Lavicka.

Leonard was preceded in death by his son Leonard L. Harrison, III on November 19, 2008.

Visitation will be held on Sunday November 11, 2012 between the hours of 2:00PM and 6:00PM at Freitag-Reeves & Baskerville Funeral Home, 700 East Kahler Road in Wilmington. Funeral services will follow Monday November 12th at 10:00AM in the funeral home with Pastor Greg Linkous officiating. Burial will be in Miller Cemetery in Spring Valley, Illinois.

Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Leonard's memory to his family for their distribution.
