“Larry”

Age 83 of Wilmington, passed away peacefully Saturday, January 14, 2017 at his home.

Born November 28, 1933 in Chicago, Lawrence Joseph was the son of the late Lawrence and Gertrude (Weiss) Treadman.  On February 1, 1958 Larry married Beverly Darlene Bollinger at St. Rose Catholic Church, Wilmington and together they made their home and raised their family in Wilmington.  Larry worked as a bricklayer for 62 years and retired from Local 14 on December 31, 1999.  He was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church, Braidwood Recreation Club and Wilmington Moose Lodge #241. Larry enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing, traveling and playing cards.

Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Beverly; four children; Deborah Treadman, Karen (Jay) Friedenberg of Bolingbrook, Susan (Mitchell) Lyday and Jeff (Carol) Treadman both of Wilmington; five grandchildren: Abigail Friedenberg, Matthew Lyday, Max Lyday, Allison (Josh) Strohm and Jeff C. Treadman; three great-grandchildren: Lexi, Natalie and Mason Strohm as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Anthony.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 18th from 9:00 a.m. until time of funeral service 11:00 a.m. at Baskerville Funeral Home, 700 East Kahler Road in Wilmington.  Deacon Milt Leppert will officiate.  Burial will be at Mount Olivet Catholic Cemetery in Wilmington.

Pallbearers will be: Jeffery D. Treadman, Jeffery C. Treadman, Mitch Lyday, Matt Lyday, Max Lyday, Jay Freidenberg

Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Larry’s memory to Kuzma Care Cottage, Wilmington, IL.
