Lavonne Ann Oliver
"Bonnie"
Age 71 of Plainfield and formerly Wilmington, passed away Tuesday October 21, 2008 at the University of Chicago Mitchell Hospital in Chicago.
Born November 21, 1936 in Bloomington, Bonnie was a daughter of the late Merton and Mary Ginter-Oliver. She was a graduate of St. Rose School in 1950 and Wilmington High School in 1954. Bonnie worked for the US Government (A.P.S.A.) until her retirement and most recently was involved with Real Estate, having worked with Honig-Bell and Coldwell Banker. She loved to travel and extensively covered the US and Canada. Bonnie was also known for her helping of anyone in need.
Survivors include her loving sister Lorraine Kuriger of Satellite Beach, FL and two nieces: Diane (Glen) Price, also of Florida and Jane (Fred) Reardanz of Bourbonnais, as well as nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, brother Jim (Bernadine) Oliver and two nieces: Sue and Teri.
The family will receive friends on Saturday October 25, 2008 from 10:00AM until time of Memorial Service 11:00AM at Reeves Funeral Home, 219 North Joliet Street (two blocks North of Illinois Route 53 / Baltimore Street) in Wilmington. Rev. Steve Bondi and Deacon Don Dyer from Saint Rose Catholic Church will officiate and inurnment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Wilmington.
Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Bonnie's memory to Kuzma Care Cottage.
