Age 57 of Joliet, passed away Monday February 25, 2008 at Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield.

Born April 18, 1950 in Morris, Larry was a son of the late John and Charline Peterson a�" Starks. He was raised and educated in Morris and was a graduate of Morris Community High School. He was a veteran of the United States Army and proudly served during Vietnam, being honorably discharged on July 1, 1975. Larry was a life member of the National Hunting Association, as well as a member of the South Wilmington Sportsmans Club and was an avid hunter and fisherman.

Survivors include two children: Aaron (Shannon) Starks of Santa Clarita, California and Courtney Starks of Canyon Country, California. One grandson Ethan James Starks; two sisters: Sheryl Peckenpaugh of Coal City and Shelly (Nick) Mesik of Diamond and one brother Terry Starks of Morris, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents.

Cemetery committal services with full military honors will be held on Monday March 03, 2008 at 2:30PM in Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood. Friends wishing to attend are asked to meet at the Cemetery Welcome Center by 2:15PM.

Preferred memorials in may be made as gifts in Larry's memory to the Morris Color Guard.
