Staff Sergeant Kevin Michael Link, 40, Pacific Command, of Honolulu died unexpectedly on March 13, 2010. Dearly beloved husband of Jean Marie (Woods); proud papa of furry babies, Chewie & Squishy; dear son of Linda (the late John Francis); treasured brother of Lisa (Brenda Brown) and Michelle; cherished son-in-law of Niland and Patricia Woods; adoring brother-in-law of Pattie and Mary Woods; fun-loving uncle of Elizabeth and Caitlin Brown; nephew of Mary (Thomas) Saunders, Stephen Pfundstein, Michael (Kathleen) Link. Fond cousin of Christopher (Stephen Gruhn) Link, Courtney Link, Brian (Ashley) Saunders. Lifelong dear friend of David DeGrace. Honorably served our country in Iraq in 2004 a�" 2005 with the 25th Infantry Division, embedded with the 1st Infantry Division. Served in Kosovo in 2006 a�" 2007 as a broadcast journalist with the 17th Public Affairs Division as part of KFOR8. Arrived at USPACOM Public Affairs Office in 2008 and served as the Public Affairs NCOIC of Multimedia. Visitation Sunday, March 28 from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the Freitag Funeral Home, 700 East Kahler Road, Wilmington, IL. Friends and family will meet Monday, March 29 at 1:00 pm at Freitag Funeral Home for a prayer service then proceed to Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, 27034 South Diagonal Road, Elwood, IL. Military honors will be conducted by the US Army.
