Kenneth Chris Gill

Age 68 of Bellwood, Illinois, passed away Monday, February 10, 2025 at the Bellwood Developmental Center.

Born on July 13, 1956, in Cullman, Alabama, Kenneth is the beloved son of Cora Margaret (Grissom) Gill and the late Howard Kenneth Gill. He was raised in Chicago in a loving home and held strong to his Baptist faith. In his leisure time, Kenny found joy in running and music, especially the soothing melodies of LeAnn Rimes. His family, including his parents and grandparents, held a special place in his heart, and he treasured the close bonds they shared.

Survivors include his mother, Cora Margaret of Cullman; three brothers: Johnny Ray Gill, Paul Joseph Gill and Charles Vance Gill; nieces and nephews: Trista Gill, Matthew Gill and Christopher Gill; aunt, Elcia (Gill) Vanness; uncle, Ellis Vanness, and cousins: Sandra Gill, Gerald Gill, Anthony Gill, Barb McKenzie, Betty Vanness and Donna Vanness.

Kenny was preceded in death by his father and three uncles: Harvey Gill, Ray Gill and Vernon Gill.

Cremation rites have been accorded and a memorial service held at Island City Baptist Church, 120 Vine Street in Wilmington on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. Pastor Jeff Logsdon will officiate. 

Kenny will be laid to rest in Cullman, Alabama.
