Kenneth J. Fuller

Age 74 of Wilmington, formerly Elgin, passed away Sunday evening, February 5, 2017, in his home with his family at his side.

Born April 30, 1942 in Dongola, Illinois, Kenneth James was a son of Roy and Theresa (Rendleman) Fuller. He was raised and educated in Cobden, Illinois, and graduated from Cobden High School. On October 18, 1963, Kenneth married the love of his life Bernadette “Bernee” Ann Zaziemblo in East Dundee. He and Bernee would make their home in Elgin for 35 years before relocating to Wilmington, where they have resided for the past 18 years. Kenneth worked for Illinois Tool Works in Elgin for many years, and enjoyed spending his time outdoors gardening, fishing and hunting. He was passionate about politics, and watched Fox News to stay up to date on current events.

Survivors include his wife: Bernee Fuller of Wilmington; two children: Steven Fuller of Wilmington and Deborah (Charles) Oscarson of Lawrenceville, Georgia; one grandson: Andrew Oscarson of Ohio; three brothers and two sisters: Doris Adams of Millstadt, Illinois, Mary Ann (Carl) Mohr of Pinckneyville, Illinois, Earl (Pat) Fuller and Carl (Patty) Fuller, both of East Peoria, and Bill (Patsy) Fuller of Mackinaw, Illinois; one sister-in-law: Jacqueline (Edward) Unger of Coal City, numerous nieces and nephews including: Michelle (Robert) Angarola of Elgin, and Freddie the Freeloader, his four legged friend who was by his side until the end.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers: Ronald and Edward Fuller; and one brother-in-law: Bud Adams.

Per Kenneth’s wishes, cremation rites have been accorded, and a Celebration of Life is being planned for a later date.

Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Kenneth’s memory to charities of the donor’s choosing.
