Age 53 of Bloomington, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, May 19, 2013 at his home.

Born August 15, 1959 in Joliet, Kenneth is a son of the late Darold and Sharon Brockett-Bushue. He was raised Catholic, attended school in Braidwood and graduated from Reed Custer High School. Kenneth went on to serve for the United States Navy until being honorably discharged in September of 1983. On November 18, 1983 Kenneth married Melissa M. Osburn in Joliet, Illinois. He worked at various nuclear generating plants for over 32 years and was currently employed with CBI at the Clinton Exelon facility. Kenneth was an avid golfer, enjoyed basketball, football; he was also an enthusiast of all sports. Some other activities he enjoyed were gardening, horticulture, history, cooking, grilling, and vivid storytelling. Above all, Kenneth cherished the time he spent with his family and always put his family's best interests first. He was the number one supporter for his children in sports and all the activities they were involved with. He was the rock of his family and taught his children how to work hard to achieve their dreams, just as he had done in his life.

Survivors include his loving wife Melissa and three children: Kyle, Tiffini, and Valerie; two brothers; his mother-in-law, Elizabeth Osburn-Drauden; three brother-in-laws and three sister-in-laws.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 24, 2013, between the hours of 4:00pm and 8:00pm at Freitag-Reeves & Baskerville Funeral Home, 700 East Kahler Road in Wilmington. Funeral services will follow Saturday, May, 25th at 10:00am in the funeral home with Reverend Steve Bondi from Saint Rose Catholic Church officiating. Burial with full military honors will be in Oakwood Sunset Cemetery, Wilmington.

In lieu of flowers, preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Kenneth's memory to his family for their distribution.
