Kayla Hope Williams

Age 21 of Wilmington, passed away Monday, March 23, 2015 at Presence Saint Joseph Medical Center in Joliet.

Born July 27, 1993 in Kankakee, Kayla Hope is a daughter of Sharon (nee Neese) Williams and Randy Williams. She was raised and educated in Wilmington and attended Wilmington High School. Kayla took great pleasure in being on the river and shopping. She was a free spirit, who loved animals and cherished time with family, especially her younger brothers and sister.

Survivors include her mother Sherry Williams; father Randy Williams, and her step-mother Jennifer Kavanaugh, all of Wilmington; two brothers: Kyle and Gavin; one sister Haylee; maternal grandparents: Charles and Sylvia Neese of Greenup; paternal grandmother Barbara Williams of Wilmington, and aunts and uncles: Chuck Neese and Stacy (Kip) Buzzard, both of Wilmington, Jeannie Ward of Greenup and Sylvia Byerley and Marty Williams, as well as her best friend Kathy Garcia, all of Wilmington.

Kayla was preceded in death by her grandfather Sanford “Bud” Williams.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 26, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. until time of Life Celebration 7:00 p.m. at Baskerville Funeral Home, 700 East Kahler Road in Wilmington. Green flameless cremation rites will be accorded following the services.

Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Kayla’s memory to the Wilmington Coalition for a Healthy Community, 241b Winchester Court, Wilmington, Illinois 60481.
