Kay Siron

Age 76 of Morris, passed away Monday, July 4, 2016 at Morris Hospital.

Born November 29, 1939 in Joliet, Kay Catherine was a daughter of the late Ramon and Catherine (Riva) Granda. She was raised and educated in Joliet and went on to earn her Nursing Certificate from Joliet Junior College.  Kay was employed as a Registered Nurse at St. Joseph Hospital prior to gaining employment with Minooka Pharmacy. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Minooka.

Survivors include her two sons: David (Sally) Bretsch of Cedarburg, Wisconsin and Mark Bretsch of Peoria, Illinois; five grandchildren: Philip (Laura) Bretsch of Vancouver, Washington, Cory Bretsch of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Jordan Bretsch of New York City, Adam Bretsch of Cedarburg and Genevieve Bretsch of Peoria, and two great granddaughters: Colbie and Kennedy.

Kay was preceded in death by her parents; first husband James L. Bretsch; second husband Ralph Siron and one brother Ramon Granda.

Cremation rites are being accorded.

A memorial visitation and celebration of Kay's life will be held on Friday, July 8, 2016 between the hours of 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. at Reeves Funeral Home, 408 East Washington Street (one block east of Illinois Route 47) in Morris.

Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Kay's memory to the American Lung Association.
