Kathleen Marie Hazelton

Age 66 of Wilmington, passed away Thursday morning March 22, 2012 at home with her family by her side.

Born March 5, 1946 in Kankakee, Kathleen was a daughter of the late John and Rita King-Quigley. She began her elementary education in Symerton; graduated from Saint Rose Catholic Grade School, and was in the 1964 graduating class of Wilmington High School. On August 22, 1964 Kathleen married William Hazelton in Saint Patrick Catholic Church in Wilton Center, and together they made their home and raised their family in Florence Township, Wilmington. She attended both Saint Patrick Catholic Church in Wilton Center, as well as Saint Rose Catholic Church in Wilmington. Kathleen truly cherished and loved her grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband of 47 years Bill; son Dave Hazelton (Tammy Kahler) and daughter Diane Hainline (fiancAC. Glen Earls), all of Wilmington; six grandchildren: Mitchell Hazelton, Steffanie Hazelton, Jacob Hazelton, Jessica Kahler, Ben Hainline and Will Hainline; one sister Rosemary (Richard) Pickles of St. Germain, Wisconsin; one aunt Anna Mae Residori of Essex; one sister-in-law Carole Hazelton of Joliet and one nephew Michael Pickles of New York, New York, as well as numerous cousins and friends.

Kathleen was preceded in death by her parents: John T. and Rita Quigley.

Visitation will be held on Sunday March 25, 2012 between the hours of 2:00PM and 6:00PM at Freitag-Reeves & Baskerville Funeral Home, 700 East Kahler Road in Wilmington. Funeral services will follow Monday March 26th at 10:00AM in Saint Rose Catholic Church, 624 South Kankakee Street in Wilmington. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated with Reverend Steve Bondi and Deacon Don Dyer officiating and burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery in Wilmington.

Pallbearers will be Mitchell Hazelton, Jacob Hazelton, Michael Pickles, Matt Quigley, Pat Quigley and Kyle Horton.

Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Kathleen's memory to Kuzma Care Cottage, 635 South Main Street, Wilmington, Illinois 60481, Hospice of Kankakee Valley, 482 Main Street NW, Bourbonnais, Illinois 60414 (www.HKVCares.com) or to a charity of the donor's choosing.
