Kathleen was raised in Wilmington by Kimberly and Sonny Khan. She enjoyed cheerleading, volleyball, and softball. Kathleen loved music, making everyone laugh, and having fun with family and friends. She will be most remembered for her big heart, warm smile and her care for others, especially her compassion for people with special needs. Kathleen's most treasured moments were with her son Brenden, whom she cherished every day.

Kathleen is the loving mother of Brenden Lackey; cherished daughter of Kimberly (Sonny) Riordan-Khan and Bernardo Garcia, Sr.; dearest sister of Kaitlyn, Bernardo, Jr. and Cody; adored niece of Patricia (Robert) Brain, Tennille (Michael) Caponigro and Ginger (Robert) Stump; treasured granddaughter of James (Felicia) Riordan, Oscar (Martha) Garcia, and Gail Simon; great-granddaughter of Shirley Riordan; special great-niece to Margie, Lenny, Carl, Karen and Ronnie, and sweetest cousin to Gracie, Bobby and Sam, as well as many others.

Kathleen was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Kathleen Riordan; paternal grandmother, Frances Garcia; maternal great-grandfather, Robert Riordan, and maternal great-grandparents, Thomas and Margaret Denniger.

Visitation and video tribute will be Saturday, December 15, 2018 at Baskerville Funeral Home, 700 East Kahler Road in Wilmington from 2:00 p.m. until time of service 7:00 p.m. Pastor Jeff Urban will officiate.

Cremation rites will be accorded following the services.
