"Kathy"

Age 87 of Wilmington, passed away Friday March 14, 2008 at Embassy Care Center in Wilmington.

Born June 16, 1921 Kathy was a daughter of the late Guido and Irene Evans-Donna. She grew up and was educated in the Braidwood area and was a graduate of Reed Custer High School with the Class of 1939. Kathy lived most of her adult life in Wilmington and was a long time employee and medical assistant to Dr. Razma in Wilmington. She was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church, where she was involved with the C.C.W. Kathy was a collector of dolls and antiques and was known for her love of traveling, especially to Colorado and Las Vegas. She loved her family and especially enjoyed being a grandmother and great grandmother.

Survivors include one son James G. Crichton, Sr., formerly of Wilmington and two grandchildren: Christina L. (Dennis) Likens and James G., Jr. (Christine) Crichton, both of Wilmington. Four great-grandchildren: Vanessa Crichton, Christin Likens, Cassandra Likens and Jarod Likens, one brother-in-law Bill Blatnik of Lockport and several nieces and great nieces and great nephews, as well as special friends Rennae and Hank Jessen of Wilmington.

Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, first husband Laurence Crichton, long time companion Emil Piksa and two sisters: Irene Blatnik and Nan (Marty) Perona.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday March 19, 2008 from 5:00PM until time of Memorial Service 7:00PM at Reeves Funeral Home, 219 North Joliet Street (two blocks North of Illinois Route 53 / Baltimore Street) in Wilmington.

Preferred memorials in lieu of flowers may be made as gifts in Kathy's memory to Kuzma Care Cottage or a local charity of the donors choice.
