Karen Lynn Orolin
Age 66 of Braceville, passed away Thursday, June 30, 2016 at Morris Hospital.
Born October 26, 1949 in Central City, Karen Lynn was a daughter of the late Steve and Frances Lydia (Vodacek) Orolin. She was a member of Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church in Coal City. Karen took pleasure in ceramics and watching T.V., as well as enjoyed dining out. She will be remembered as a great Chicago Cubs fan.
Survivors include her sisters: Anna Marie Orolin, Donna Jean Orolin and Sandra Lee Orolin, all of Braceville; sister-in-law Charlene Orolin of Morris; nephew Edward (Pam) Orolin, Jr.; several cousins, and her dear friends: Karin and Phil Kodat of Carbon Hill, Vi Domagala of Custer Park and the girls at the Whistle Stop Diner in Diamond, as well as her beloved puppies Lucy and Marcy.
Karen was preceded in death by her parents and one brother Edward Orolin, Sr.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 5, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at Reeves Funeral Home, 75 North Broadway (one block north of Illinois Route 113) in Coal City. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. in Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church, 245 South Kankakee Street in Coal City. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated with Reverend Robert Noesen officiating.
Burial will be in Braceville-Gardner Cemetery, where Karen Lynn will be laid to rest with her parents.
Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Karen's memory to her family for their distribution.
