June C. Jiskra

Age 65 of Morris, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday February 27, 2011 at Morris Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.

Born June 26, 1945 in Joliet, June was a daughter of the late Charles and Bernice Stewart-Jiskra. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Morris and the Morris Moose Lodge. June was a former resident of the Narvick House in Morris and worked at the Illinois Valley Workshop. Her previous employment also included working at McDonald's and the Holiday Inn, both of Morris. June had a sincere love of family and enjoyed playing bingo, cross stitching, roller skating and playing the organ. She can be remembered as always being eager to read the Morris Daily Herald Newspaper, listen to Jimmy Buffet and follow the Chicago Bulls, especially when Michael Jordan was playing.

Survivors include her first cousins: Doris Joyce of Dwight, Donald (Grace) Mulhall of Pontiac and Barb (Donald) Ralls, Cindy (Ernie) Ward and Debbie (Jeff) Olson, all of Morris, as well as numerous other cousins and friends.

June was preceded in death by her parents and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Thursday March 3, 2011 from 9:00AM until time of funeral service 11:00AM at Reeves Funeral Home, 408 East Washington Street (one block East of Illinois Route 47) in Morris. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery in Morris.

Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in June's memory to Morris Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center or The Narvick House in Morris.
