Julio A. Loza

Rev. Julio A. Loza, 86, of Glendale Heights, passed away Wednesday December 28, 2022 at Bella Terra in Streamwood.
Born September 5, 1936 in LaPaz Bolivia, S. America, he was the son of Manuel and Maria (Silva)Loza. He graduated from LaPaz High School, later attended the university in LaPaz, studied law for 3 years and decided to come to the United States to become a minister and went to Luther Seminary in St. Paul, MN. For over 40 years he served as a minister at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Chicago. Julio married Janice Larson on August 1, 1964 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Minneapolis, Mn.
He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years Janice; his children, Anthony (Donna) Loza of Wheaton, Kevin Loza of Kirkland, WA and Rev. Erik (Ulmira) Loza of Granada Hills, CA; three grandchildren, Isabelle, Emilia and Gabriel Loza.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Lawrence and Fern Larson.
Funeral services will be held Saturday January 7, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Plattville Lutheran Church with Rev Bret L Reedy and Rev. Matthew Troester officiating. Interment will follow in Plattville Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at the church.
