Joyce E. Miller Harman

Joyce E. Miller Harman, 84, of Marshall, MO, died Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at her daughter’s home in Dwight, IL

  Born February 3, 1940, in Newton, KS, she was the daughter of the late Lewis Grant Fenton and Ruth Renata Abrahams Fenton. On May 31, 1958, she married Daniel Dennis Miller who preceded her in death on November 1, 2002. On March 6, 2010, she married Larry L. Harman who preceded her in death on November 23, 2017. In earlier years, she worked for Marion County Ambulance District and at hospitals in Hannibal. While living in Marshall she retired from the Marshall Habilitation Center then worked for Wal-Mart. She was a Christian.

 Survivors include one daughter, Marilyn D. Kolthoff (John) of Dwight, IL; two sons, Ronnie Miller (Aeng-Sun) of Richland, MO and Michael D. Miller (Myra) of Hannibal, MO; two stepsons, Larry Harman and Dan Harman both of Warsaw, MO; six grandchildren: Justin Rachel Kolthoff of Dwight, IL, Meagan Kolthoff of Dwight, IL, Grant Morgan Kolthoff of Flanagan, IL, Devan Madison Kolthoff of Coal City, IL, Christopher Miller of St. Roberts, MO and Erica Shayne Saunders of Spring Lake, NC; 12 great-grandchildren; one sister, Eunice Barricklow of Newton, KS; two stepsisters, Rita Appleberry and Jo Thornsberry; and numerous nieces and nephews.

 In addition to her parents and husbands, Joyce was preceded in death by a son in infancy, Jerry Lee Miller; three other sons, Garry Lynn Miller, Carroll Miller and Richard Leon Miller; one brother in infancy, Gerald Fenton; and three sisters, Ruthie Adams, Judith Fenton  and Maxine Veneris.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 23, 2024, at Gospel Lighthouse Church in Hannibal, MO, with Pastor Carl Helmuth officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
