Joseph H. Greenwood
Age 57 of Manhattan, passed away unexpectedly Saturday February 9, 2013 at his home.
Born October 17, 1955 in Rochester, New York, he is a son of Marie Savage of Wilmington. Joe owned and operated Dunnrite Siding Company in Manhattan for over 30 years.
Survivors include his mother Marie Savage; wife Karla (nee Kociss); two sons: Joseph Greenwood and Jason Greenwood, both of Manhattan; one daughter Jessica (Richard) Shubbe of Manteno; three grandchildren: Kloey, Zack and Allie; three brothers: Ivan (Terri) Greenwood of Aurora, Donald Greenwood of Morris and Kenneth Greenwood of Aurora; one sister Lori (Doug) Henbest of Hawaii; two sisters-in-law: Karen (Larry) Lehnert of Manhattan and Koleen Kociss of Texas and numerous nieces and nephews.
Joe was preceded in death by his sister Dianne M. Hall in 1980.
Visitation and Video Tribute will he held on Saturday February 16, 2013 from 11:00AM until time of funeral services 2:00PM at Freitag-Reeves & Baskerville Funeral Home, 700 East Kahler Road in Wilmington. Bernard VanGampler, preacher from Rolling Acres Church of Christ in Channahon will officiate.
Cremation rites will be accorded following the services and inurnment will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park in Joliet at a later date.
Preferred memorials in lieu of flowers may be made as gifts in Joe's memory to the family for their distribution.
