Joseph E. Craterfield

Age 82 of Wilmington, passed away Friday December 11, 2009 at Silver Cross Medical Center in Joliet.

Born August 5, 1927 in Wilmington, Joseph was a son of the late Joe and Pearl Craterfield. He was a member of the Teamsters and was also a local upholsterer. Joe and his wife Reida retired to Florida and returned to the area several years ago.

Survivors include two sons: Terry (Debbie) and Joseph Craterfield, both of Wilmington; two grandchildren: Aaron and Tiffany; one sister-in-law Ann Craterfield of Coal City and numerous nieces and nephews, especially Pearl (Jerry) Wilson of Wilmington.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents; wife Reida (2002), one brother Jim and four sisters: Mary, Josie, Rosie and Annie.

Visitation will be Tuesday December 15, 2009 from 10AM until time of funeral service 12:00 Noon at Reeves Funeral Home, 219 North Joliet Street (two blocks North of Illinois Route 53 / Baltimore Street) in Wilmington. Deacon Don Dyer from St. Rose Catholic Church will officiate and burial will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Wilmington.

Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Joe's memory to a charity of the donor's choosing.
