Age 90 of Coal City, passed away Thursday evening, March 17, 2016 at his home.

Born March 1, 1926, John Joseph was a son of the late Mario M. and Marie (Burla) Ronchetti. He was raised and educated in Coal City and graduated from Coal City High School with the Class of 1944. Jack went on to honorably serve as a Cadet in the United States Air Force. On January 21, 1949, he married Jeanne Beal in the Methodist Church in Verona, and together they made their home in Coal City. Jack was an active member of New Hope Presbyterian Church in Coal City, where he was a former Elder and director of the youth group. He built and served as a director for Verona Exchange Bank, and was a member of the A.F. & A.M. Verona and Mazon Lodge, where he was a past Master; the Medina Shriners, and the Local Carpenters Union. He served as the Coal City Building Inspector for many years, and worked locally as a carpenter and contractor his entire life. Jack designed, built and oversaw countless homes, businesses and projects throughout the county. He was a great sports fan, especially of the Chicago Cubs, and cherished his family. Jack took pleasure in woodworking, and leaves behind many walnut heirlooms that he crafted. He was especially proud to have made the cross on display at New Hope Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include his wife of 67 years: Jeanne; two children: Linda (the late Richard) Burns of Joliet and John (Pam) Ronchetti of Coal City; five grandsons: Craig (Tonia) Burns of Plainfield, Jeffrey (Stacey) Burns of Oswego, Matthew (Maliha) Ronchetti of Los Angeles, California, Nathan (Paige) Ronchetti of Naperville and Jonathon Ronchetti of Coal City; eight great grandchildren: Gavin, Brendan, Madison, Reygan, Hannah, Emma, Miller and Marshall; brother-in-law Dan (Betty) Beal of Verona and sister-in-law Bev Ronchetti of Colorado Springs, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents; sister Rosemary Neal; brother Richard Ronchetti and son-in-law Richard Burns.

Visitation and video tribute will be held at New Hope Presbyterian Church, 80 North Garfield Street (at First Street) in Coal City, on Sunday, March 20, 2016 between the hours of 2:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.

Funeral services will follow Monday morning, March 21st at 11:00 a.m. in the church with Reverend Mark Hughey officiating.

A private family burial will be in Ward Cemetery in rural Verona.

Jack's grandsons and great grandsons will be pallbearers and his great grandchildren will act as honorary pallbearers.
