John Stainbrook
“John Boy”
Age 44 of DeKalb and formerly of Wilmington and Braidwood, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, November 3, 2017.
Born July 4, 1973 in Joliet, John Michael was a son of Richard Stainbrook, Sr. and Sandra (Wolff) Jenkins. He was raised and educated in Wilmington and graduated from Wilmington High School with the class of 1992. After graduation John worked as a Teamster for 10 years until later gaining employment with Local 150 Operating Engineers, where he worked for the following 12 years. He was a member of the Wilmington Moose Lodge, and loved to ride his Harley. John will be remembered for his big heart. He was a guy that loved everybody and everybody loved him.
Survivors include his parents: Sandra (Don) Jenkins and Richard (Brenda) Stainbrook, Sr.; brother: Richard “Richie” Stainbrook, Jr.; nephew: Adam Lee Stainbrook, and close friends: Mark Ramsey, J.D. Warner, Rob Buza, Bobby Crawford, Judd Friddle and many others.
John was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather: Ivan Wolff; uncle: Larry Stainbrook and dear friend: Dorothy Barth.
Visitation and video tribute will be held on Saturday, November 11, 2017 between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. at Baskerville Funeral Home, 700 East Kahler Road in Wilmington. Cremation rites will follow.
In lieu of flowers, preferred memorials may be made as gifts in John’s memory to his family for their distribution.
