John Chester Spiewak

Age 60 of Coal City, passed away Wednesday November 04, 2009 at his home.

Born December 07, 1948 in Berwyn, John was a son of the late Chester John and Ann R. Chmela - Spiewak. He was a 1965 graduate of Morton East High School and a veteran of the United States Army, having served during the Vietnam Era. On May 29, 1971, John married Sharon Kasper in Mary Queen of Heaven Church in Cicero, and she survives. John was most recently employed as the maintenance director with The Inn at Willow Falls in Crest Hill, and was known to enjoy kayaking, home improvements and vacationing in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina.

Survivors include his wife Sharon Marie; one daughter Tisha (Dan) Spivey of Coal City; one son Greg (Maryann) Spiewak of Coal City; one grandson Kevin Spivey and two granddaughters: Lily and Madelyn Spiewak.

Cremation rites have been accorded, and a family memorial for John will be held at a later date.
