John J. Simenson
Age 52 of Wilmington, passed away suddenly Sunday June 1, 2008 in Concepcion Del Oro, Mexico as the result of an automobile accident.
Born October 26, 1955 in International Falls, Minnesota John is a son of Cathryn nee Cole and the late Sidney Simenson. He was raised and educated in Minnesota, graduating from the University of Minnesota and was a realtor in Illinois and Minnesota, having retired in April. John loved golfing, yard work, traveling, hunting, fishing and spending time at their Oceanside home in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.
Survivors include his loving wife Lillie (nee Davis) Parrish, whom he married on September 26, 1987; his mother Cathryn Simenson of Braidwood and formerly San Diego, California; one son Ronald (Tammy) Parrish of Morris; one daughter Jill Parrish-Longest of Wilmington; one brother Steven (Wendy) Simenson of Minnesota; special nephew Forrest Simenson of Boston, Massachusetts; (10) Grandchildren: Thomas, Jerrick, Rachel, Mark, Shane, Alyssa, Breanna, Makiah, Tyler and Lucas and aunt and uncle Don and Nora Cole of Minnesota.
The family will receive friends on Saturday June 7, 2008 from 4:00PM until time of Memorial Service 6:00PM at Reeves Funeral Home, 219 North Joliet Street (two blocks North of Illinois Route 53 / Baltimore Street) in Wilmington.
Preferred memorials in lieu of flowers may be made as gifts in John's memory to a charity of the donor's choice.
