John "Brian" Sears

Age 38 of Wilmington, formerly Woodridge, lost his battle with throat cancer on Sunday July 7, 2013, at Presence Saint Joseph Medical Center in Joliet.

Born October 6, 1974 in Hinsdale, Brian is a son of David and Mary Anne Kelly-Sears. He was raised and educated in the Woodridge and Bolingbrook area, and graduated from Downers Grove South High School with the Class of 1992. Brian was employed at Chicago Aerosol Company in Coal City. He enjoyed football and was an avid Chicago Bears fan..

Survivors include his parents: David and Mary Anne Sears and one brother David Sears, Jr. (Jennie Yanke), both of Wilmington; one sister Christine (Clifton) Williams of North Aurora; aunts and uncles: Constance (Phil) Schwartz of New York, Catherine (Gus) Baffa of New Hampshire, Katherine (the late John) Kelly of Massachusetts, and Veronica Dwyer of New York; one niece Madison and two nephews: Kordell and Quintyn.

Visitation will be held on Thursday July 11, 2013 from 4:00PM until time of funeral service 7:30PM at Reeves Funeral Home, 75 North Broadway (one block north of Illinois Route 113) in Coal City. Reverend Robert Noesen from Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Parish in Coal City will officiate.

Preferred Memorials may be made as gifts in Brian's name to the American Cancer Society.
