John E. Miller

Age 59 of Wilmington, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, October 29, 2015 due to injuries sustained in an accident.

Born February 8, 1956 in Chicago, John Edward is a son of A. Dolores (Ulvilden) Miller of Wilmington and the late John K. Miller. He was raised in New York, prior to moving to Palos Park. John was a graduate of Carl Sandberg High School, and after graduation went to work for BBC Fasteners in Alsip, where he was still currently employed. A Civil War buff, John enjoyed movies and was also a race car fan. He will be remembered for his love of animals.

Survivors include his mother Dolores; sister Kim Sipes of Wilmington; brother Eric Miller of Braidwood; two nephews: Jason (Rachael) Thibodeaux of Braidwood and Jack Miller of Coal City and two great nephews: Max and Alex.

John was preceded in death by his father John and one brother Geoffrey.

Visitation and video tribute will be held on Tuesday, November 3, 2015 between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. at Baskerville Funeral Home, 700 East Kahler Road in Wilmington.

Cremation rites will be accorded following the visitation.

Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in John’s memory to an animal interest or humane society of the donor’s choosing.
