John Robert McGraw

Age 47 of Dwight and formerly Coal City, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday November 24, 2007 at his home.

Born March 01, 1960 in Bloomington, John is a son of Dorothy Brackett of Wilmington and the late Jack McGraw. He was raised and educated in Wilmington and was recently employed in Security at Aldi Distribution Center in Dwight. In his free time John was a football fan, favoring the Seattle Sea Hawks and also loved the Chicago Cub's, NASCAR (#24), bowling and music.

Survivors include his mother Dorothy Brackett of Wilmington; best friend Noreen McGraw of Dwight; the mother of his three children: Kim Black of Kansas City, Kansas; three children: Angela (Jim) Nowell of Kansas City, MO and Robert McGraw and Brandi (James) Burton, both of Kansas City, Kansas. Two step daughters: Jolene (Jim) Giaudrone and Renee Shelby, both of Coal City; eight grandchildren: Shawna, Damian, Elexis, Travis, Marissa, Devon, Lily and Deandre, all of Kansas City and four step grandchildren: Ashley, Justin, Sarah and Kobe, all of Coal City.

John was preceded in death by his father Jack McGraw.

Visitation and Video Tribute will be held on Saturday December 01, 2007 from 10:00AM until time of funeral service 2:00PM at Reeves Funeral Home, 75 North Broadway (one block North of Illinois Route 113) in Coal City. Dr. Thomas Logsdon from the Coal City United Methodist Church will officiate the services.

Please omit flowers. Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in John's memory to his family for distribution to local charities of their choice.
