John J. Kerr

Age 67 of Kankakee, passed away Monday, October 08, 2007 at Provena St. Mary's Hospital in Kankakee.

Born April 18, 1940 in Chicago, John was a son of the late John T. and Lorraine (Peterson) Kerr. He was a self-employed General Contractor in the Oak Forest area before moving to Kankakee.

Survived by his wife Cherie (nee Carnes), two sons: John (Jackie) of Tinley Park and Thomas J. of Bourbonnais; one daughter Marsha (Dave) Cartwright of Wilmington; eight grandchildren: Amanda, Mitchell, Breanne and Sean Kerr, and Luke, Douglas, Russel and Garth Cartwright; and special friends Ed and Sylvia Hecht.

John was preceded in death by his parents.

Private family services were held and interment was at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Frankfort.
