John Friedle
Age 78 and a long time resident of Coal City, passed away Monday, June 3, 2013 in Mesa, AZ after an extended illness.
He was born Oct.14, 1934 and spent much of his youth farming just outside of Verona, IL. John married Nancy (Jisa) of Coal City on Sept. 19, 1959. He retired from Amoco Chemical, Channahon after many years. In 2006, John and Nancy moved to Mesa, but made frequent visits to Coal City.
John is survived by his wife of 53 years, Nancy (Jisa) Friedle; two daughters, Marsha Johnsen of Coal City and Mary Friedle of Mesa; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Josephine Winship of Verona and by his son, Sgt. Michael John Friedle.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday July 26, 2013 at 11:00AM in Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church, 245 South Kankakee Street in Coal City. Reverend Robert Noesen will officiate.
Immediately following the funeral services, a memorial luncheon and gathering will take place in the Berst Center - prior to the Inurnment with full military honors at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood.
Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in John's memory to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 East Flower Street, Phoenix, Arizona 85014.
