Joel Treadman

Age 70 of Wilmington, passed away Monday October 14, 2013 at Island City Rehabilitation Center in Wilmington.

Born September 10, 1943 in Joliet, Joel was the son of the late Richard and Helen Hansen-Treadman. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Wilmington, enjoyed history, and was very knowledgeable of the history of Wilmington. Joel will be remembered for his love of gardening and bicycle riding.

Survivors include several cousins including: Jack (June) Treadman of Georgia, Larry (Beverly) Treadman of Wilmington, and Donald Schunk of North Carolina, as well as, childhood friends: Phillip Bauter of Newman, Illinois and Gene Gartke of Woodridge, Illinois.

Joel was preceded in death by his parents Richard and Helen Treadman.

Cremation rites have been accorded and a memorial graveside will take place on Tuesday October 22, 2013 at 11:30AM in Oakwood Cemetery in Wilmington, and Deacon Don Dyer will officiate.

Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Joel's memory to Passages Hospice of Illinois.
