Joe P. Crnjak
"Babe"
Age 76 of Channahon, passed away Wednesday May 26, 2010 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home.
Born June 4, 1933 in Chicago, Joe was a son of the late John and Mary Furlan-Crnjak. He was raised and educated in Chicago and was a Veteran of the United States Army, having served in Germany during the Korean Conflict. Joe was employed by Ecolab, from where he retired. He can be remembered as a lifelong Chicago Cub's fan, who enjoyed attending their Spring Trainings in Arizona, and also enjoyed fishing, gardening and gambling at the casinos.
Survivors include his step-daughter Pat (the late Dave) Malinowski of Gardner and two brothers: John (Irene) of Crown Point, IN and Jim Crnjak of Crete, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents, wife Frances and brothers: Peter and Luke.
Visitation and Video Tribute will be held Saturday May 29, 2010 from 9:00AM until time of funeral service 11:00AM at Reeves Funeral Home, 203 Liberty Street in Gardner. Pastor Jan Chandler will officiate and burial with military honors will follow at 12:30PM in Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood.
