Jessie James Palmer
Age 23 of Wilmington passed away unexpectedly Friday September 21, 2007 at his home.
Born December 17, 1983 in Morris, Jessie is a son of Phillip & Mary Palmer of Wilmington. He attended Wilmington Schools and was employed by the Laborers Union Local #75 until an automobile accident in 2001, which left him a paraplegic. Jessie was an avid sports fan and especially liked the Chicago Bears and #6 Mark Martin.
Survivors include his loving parents: Phillip Sr. and Mary Palmer of Wilmington; two brothers: Jeffrey (Jamie) Palmer of Morris and Phillip (Amanda) Palmer Jr. of Braidwood; one sister Shannon Palmer of Joliet; his paternal grandparents: Phillip and Ruby Palmer of Toledo, Illinois; maternal grandmother Barbara Bendel of Gardner; four nieces; five nephews and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Jessie was preceded in death by his aunt Bingo and Uncle PeeWee.
Visitation will be held on Thursday September 27, 2007 between the hours of 4:00PM and 7:00PM and Friday September 28th from 9:00AM until time of funeral service 10:00AM at Reeves Funeral Home, 219 North Joliet Street (two blocks North of Illinois Route 53 / Baltimore Street) in Wilmington. Conrad Hoel from the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Wilmington will officiate.
Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Wilmington.
In lieu of flowers, memorials as gifts in Jessie's memory to The Jessie J. Palmer Fund, c/o Grundy Bank are greatly appreciated.
